There is a strange coconut tree at Badung Regency, just near the Border Gate in the middle of ways from Badung to Bedugul. The coconut tree has 4 branches. Not like other coconut tree that have no branch like a pole, this coconut tree is more like a dicotyledons tree than monocots tree. And it is more attractive that all the branches have produced coconut fruits.
The village's cultural leaders at this area has decided that the coconut tree has to be protected because it is rare. When we traveled from Kuta to Bedugul, we can see the tree at an area in the middle of a rice field, at the left side of the main street. It is located just a view steps from the border gate of the village.
