Wedding and Honeymoon at Bali

Bali Island is a romantic place for Wedding Ceremony and Honeymoon. Some Indonesian Celebrity and Famous people has their Wedding Ceremony in Bali. Some people from other countries also has their wedding ceremony in Bali.

Bali is also a great place to spent our Honeymoon. Why? Because Bali has a lot of romantic place to visit during our honeymoon.

Imagine you and your spouse having an exotic dinner at Jimbaran Beach, just beside the sea, with some candles at your table. In every morning, you can walk in the clean beach with your wife. seeing the beautiful Sun Rise. After that you can go to Ubud Monkey Forest or Alas Kedaton, and laugh together when a naughty monkey sit on your spouse's head. You can also go to some traditional markets to buy Balinese crafts. In Bali you can find a lot of kind of restaurants, that serve local food or international food, so it will be no problem with your meals. And also you can spend your time for some sports activity like golf, water activity at Tanjung Benoa, has a trip to turtle Island, or go to Bali Safari Garden together with your spouse. Spending a week in Bali for a week is not a boring time. There are a lot interesting activities at Bali.

Balinese people is very tolerant to other religion. The Majority of Balinese are Hindu followers, and some are Protestants and Roman Chatolics. Some small part, especially Lombok people are Moslems. And there are also people that they call as Siwa Buda, that represents to Balinese Budish people. Balinese people always try to honor people from other religion. One example, there is a Bhudism Temple in area of Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. And there is also Pura Langgar that has a story about Moslem in Bali, located at Banutin Bali. That is why it is possible to arrange Wedding Ceremony at any religion in Bali. Some Christians Couple from other countries can have their wedding matrimony with local Priests.

2013 Miss World Crowned at Bali

Bali Island get a very great honor for the place of Miss World 2013. Miss Philippine, Megan Young, who was born at US and move to Philippine at the age of 10, has been elected as 2013 Miss World pageant amongst 126 other contestants. The occasion is took place at Nusa Dua Bali and broadcast to 180 countries.

There is also a rehearsal at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Center as a part of this Miss World Competition. A Huge open air stand has been made for the occasion. Here are some of pictures of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Center in preparation of that last event. The picture was taken two days before the rehearsal.

The sea is very clean, has a beautiful white sand. The area is also very beautiful, so you can also enjoy the nature while have a surf.

One of Balinese Food that have to be tried is Pia Legong (Legong Pie). It is almost like a croissant, with Chocolate Sauce or Cheese Sauce in it. It is very famous and delicious so it always runs of stock every day. So if you want to buy it, make sure to order by phone before.

Honestly, this is not an advertising post, but we really recommend it for you. And please don't blame us if then you eat this pie again and again and can't stop dreaming to buy it again, because it only can be found in Bali.

So if you are in Denpasar Bali, don't forget to try this Legong Pie. And believe us, you will find that it is really as delicious as we have described. Hmmmm...very Yummmy!!!

Sun Set at Bali Beach

One of rare activities we can do in Bali are enjoying Sun Set and Sun Rise at Bali Beaches. First thing because Indonesia is a Tropical Country, but also because most of Beach in Bali has open area that are not surrounded with mountain or buildings. Most beach areas in Bali are designed as public space, except for some beach in Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa, which are become private areas of luxury hotels.

We can see the full views of Sun Rise and Sun Set at Bali Beaches. It is very pleasant to have a walk at the beach during Sun Rise, and after that we can has a relaxation by lying on the sand, enjoying the warm of the Sun Light before go back to hotel to enjoy breakfast and take a bath.

In Lovina Beach, you can also enjoy to feed a bunch of Dolphins during the Sun Rise. But you have to be at the beach at 05.00 Bali local Time and hire a boat to enjoy feeding the dolphins in the middle of the sea.

Enjoying Sun Set at Jimbaran and having dinner with seafood, see Balinese Dances performance and Flights Take off and Landing at Denpasar Airport at night, is another interesting activity to do in Bali.

The Beautiful Bali Padi Fields

Bali is famous of its beautiful nature, with a lot of forests with monkeys, very clean beaches and also rivers and lakes. Hindus traditions has educated people that the land where we live has to be treated wisely, so that it won't be any disasters to human.

When we trip across Bali between tourists destinations, we can also enjoy the magnificent views of Bali Padi Fields. The fields are successfully produce rice for Bali's people main food. But the fields are also very beautiful to see.

In Ubud, there are also Restaurants that are surrounded with Padi Fields, because Bali's Padi field is already one of Bali's icon, One of the restaurants is Bebek Sawah. It is located not far from Ubud Monkey Forest.

Balinese rice fields use a traditional system of irrigation, that is called as Subak. The main idea is the water has to flow from the height until the sea naturally. Rice farmers in Bali are always obey the rule not to make a damage to the natural water system just to make a plantations or Padi fields, such as making a cut and fill that will be change the contour of the land. They make the Padi beads just follow the natural contour of lands. That's way Padi Fields in Bali are always success to produce Rice and also it appear very beautiful following the land's contour.

Another thing that make Bali's land very natural is, the Government rules with the influence of Balinese Kingdoms Family and the Traditional Society has helped farmers to keep their land for farming by a special subsidies schema. We now that every land in Bali, especially near the main street to Tourism Object has a very expensive prices. The other hand, they keep protecting Bali's area from industry that can produce pollutions.

Nusa Dua Beach is a very Beautiful Beach in Bali, where we can find a lot of Luxury Hotels and Luxury facilities like Golf Course, Covention Center, and also interesting place like Bali Collection Shopping Center and Bali Nusa Dua Theater. It is located not far from Tanjung Benoa where we can play some water activities like Diving, Snorkeling, Parasailing and sailing to Turtle Farm at a small Island. Nusa Dua Beach Hotel is one of the Luxury Hotel at Nusa Dua. It usually becomes a place for International Summits and meetings attended by Country Leaders from all over the world.

But honestly, it is not very enjoy for us to visit Nusa Dua if we do not intent to visit or stay in one of the Luxury Hotels in this area. Even the parking area and the beach are already the private area of Luxury Hotels in this area.

What is Bali Traditional Food?

One of Bali's Traditional food is Nasi Lawar. It is a very delicious rise with Pork Skewers, vegetables, roasted pork beef, pork skin and thin sauce filled in potatoes. Most Hindus Bali people, especially the priests family don't eat meat and other products from cows. They honor cows as sacred creatures because Siwa God rides a cow to travel all over the world.

The other famous food of Bali is Kacang Bali or Balinese roasted beans for snack. There are also Brem Bali which is a kind of wine made from Rice. There are two kind of Brem Bali, the liquid wine that is sold in bottle, and the sweet brem Bali snack.

Bali's Coffe is also famous, especially for coffee from near Kinatamani. It is well known as Luwak Coffee that is sorted with helps of animal that called as Luwak. This kind of coffee is the most expensive coffee sold in US and Europe. It is only produced in Indonesia, including Bali. Here you can buy this coffee with a cheap price.

In Ubud, we can find alot of famous Restaurants which sell roasted duck as main food. One of the restaurants is located beside a rice field, so it is very natural for relaxation between your trips in Bali. The restaurants name is Bebek sawah. There are also other restaurant in Ubud that is very well known, the name is Bebek Bengis.

If you one to buy traditional snacks in Denpasar, try to visit Krisna. And for you that like to buy Bali's Hams and sausages you can go to Titiles at Denpasar.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is licated at Bedugul. It is a Temple beside a huge lake that is treated as Bali's water reservoir area. The lake and the Temple is located near the top of a mountain and surrounding with a forest. Every years Hindus Bali People come to this temple to have a ceremony to honor Danu, The God of water. They hope that with this ceremony, Bali will be blessed with enough water and the farming will be success. Balinese Rice Farming is known very success with a traditional irrigation system that is known as Subak.

It is very interesting to visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple because it is surrounding with a beautiful panorama of mountain area. Near the temple there is also a Natural Forest that is conserve alot of genus of Indonesian trees, that is now known as Bedugul Botanic Garden. It can be said that Bali has a very high traditional culture that since the ancient ages until now, they have planned a conservation area of water supply surrounding with natural florest. There are also interesting plantations to visit around this area including a Strawberry fields near Strawberry Hill Hotel.

The temples in Ulun Danu Beratan Temple area is also very unique. There is a temple in the middle of the lake that can be reached through a bridge or by a raft. (the bridge is new, at the era of 1980s we have to use a boat to visit this temple). For now we can still hire a small boat to sail across the lake or to just visit the temple with boat.

There is also a Temple with Bali-Chinese Architecture. It is said that at the Ancient Kingdom's Era, some of Buddhist monks from Chine had cultural friendship with the Kingdoms in Bali. They also had some followers in Bali that is known as Siwa Buda members. The temple is made to honor the hospitality and the friendship with Siwa Buda members. It is one of evidence that Hindus Bali people are very tolerant with other religions.
