Goa Gajah at Gianyar

Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave is located at Bedulu, Gianyar. It was the center city of Ancient Balinese Village. It is a Temple area called as Goa Gajah because there is a cave as a place for praying with the decoration like an elephant figure at the entrance of the cave. We can go inside the cave and see Hindus Priests praying in it.

The other building in this area are pools and a hall. There is a pool with water fountain in front of the hall. The other pool is located in the valley area. There are also a river with a big rock and a spring in the middle of some big rocks at the valley area. There is stand near the valley that sale coconut water.

To get to the temple we have walk through stairways. It is rather difficult to reach the cave for old persons. But for who don't want to go to the cave, they can go shopping at Goa Gajah Traditional market.  We can buy some merchandise like paintings, T-shirts, bags, necklaces and other traditional crafts.
